The Business Development Representative role at Mid-States Title Insurance Agency focuses on building and sustaining relationships with real estate professionals, generating leads, and promoting title services within a defined territory. Role Overview
As a Business Development Representative, you will cultivate connections with real estate professionals, expand market presence, and drive the promotion of title services. The role includes managing closings, reporting sales activity, and participating in industry events, all while adhering to company policies and relevant laws under supervision.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with prospects, existing customers, real estate brokerages, Realtors, and lenders.
- Increase market share within the assigned region.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the company and competitors’ products and services.
- Develop leads and sales opportunities and follow through with the defined sales plan.
- Report business development and sales activity.
- Represent Sage Title in the market and at industry events.
- Promote open communication and maintain mutually beneficial internal relationships.
- Conduct real estate closings.
- Offer real estate educational seminars for brokers and realtors.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures and perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of sales experience; real estate background preferred.
- Self-starter with strong follow-through skills.
- Social media savvy; proficient at establishing and maintaining a marketing database platform.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of RESPA and other federal, state, and industry compliance requirements.
- Strong customer service, communication, organization, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Notary Public certification preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance; reliable vehicle and ability to travel daily within the assigned territory.
- Title Insurance License with ability to obtain appointment with the company underwriter; if not licensed, must obtain a title insurance license within the allotted number of days after hire.

Compensation
Base salary range: $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 annually. The actual wage is based on education and experience. There is potential for an incentive plan tied to financial results.
