Business Development & Sales Manager
Job Description
Siemens Energy is seeking a seasoned Business Development and Sales Manager to lead pursuit of strategic Datacenter accounts from its Houston, TX on-site team. The role centers on cultivating and sustaining client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and ensuring high satisfaction with Siemens Energy products and services. The position requires a bachelor’s degree and at least ten years of experience in sales or engineering, with travel up to 50% within the United States.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an annual sales plan with robust pipeline management, accurate forecasting, and regular reporting on activities, opportunities, and results.
- Monitor industry trends, competitors, and Siemens Energy offerings to anticipate customer needs and proactively identify opportunities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing ongoing support, troubleshooting, and resolution of concerns.
- Lead technical and commercial negotiations on behalf of Siemens Energy.
- Build and sustain relationships with on-site and across the customer's organization’s key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in sales or engineering, with knowledge of industrial gas turbines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills capable of building rapport, earning trust, and fostering durable relationships with clients at all levels, including C-suite.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, managing time, keeping detailed records, and reporting competitive insights.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% within the United States.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
