Job Description

Earn up to $100,000 to $110,000 in realistic first-year earnings as an outside Business Development Sales Territory Representative in the Bellingham, WA area. SMS provides a protected territory with pre-set, local appointments, plus commission-based compensation with residual income and daily cash bonuses. You will also receive comprehensive new hire and ongoing training and development to support your progress in the role.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare for appointments received from an assistant the day prior, with travel kept local
  • Direct 3 to 4 sales appointments daily with owners of small to medium-sized businesses with the goal of marketing and securing a Business Analysts a Survey Agreement
  • Contact the Business Coordinator with feedback from appointments and share new business lead opportunities
  • Review the day’s successes and challenges with your Sales Manager and access sales support as appropriate, with administrative support teams invested in your success

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of business ownership experience and/or 3 years of face-to-face direct sales experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required; the company will consider the right experience in place of a degree
  • Highly self-motivated and self-disciplined, with the ability to work effectively with little or no supervision
  • Outgoing personality with expertise in developing relationships, especially with business owners, presidents, and CEOs
  • Strong communication skills, including excellent listening to identify the real needs a client may be experiencing
  • Ability to begin work immediately

Compensation and benefits

  • Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
