Job Description
The Director of Business Development is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities while expanding Timberland Door's market presence and dealer network. This onsite role in Largo, FL represents the company in growth initiatives and supports the overall strategy to broaden market reach.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and implement a strategic approach to grow the designated territory.
- Cultivate and secure new dealer partnerships.
- Establish new builder, contractor, and commercial accounts.
- Expand market penetration across the assigned region.
- Foster relationships with architects and designers.
- Create specification opportunities for Timberland products.
- Identify high value growth opportunities within the market.
- Develop long term account plans for strategic growth.
- Grow revenue within existing accounts.
- Build executive level relationships with customers.
- Identify new geographic opportunities for expansion.
- Develop and manage channel partnerships.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
- Provide market feedback to leadership to influence strategy.
- Identify product opportunities aligned with market needs.
- Monitor competitive activity and market dynamics.
- Assist leadership with market positioning initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of three years of business development experience.
- Experience selling doors, millwork, windows, building products, architectural products, construction products, or related industries.
- Proven track record of opening new accounts.
- Demonstrated success growing revenue within a territory.
- Strong network within the building products industry.
- Ability to travel throughout the assigned markets.
