District Sales Manager
Job Description
Own sales execution across your territory, driving demand creation and distribution-led growth in Northern New York and New England.
Responsibilities
- Manage, consult, and value-sell company solutions to customers within a defined region
- Prospect and profitably grow business with new and existing customers, with a focus on exceeding annual budget
- Develop and execute business plans using organized sales strategies
- Use effective communication to lead internal discussions and deliver value-added customer solutions
- Negotiate and deliver customer proposals aligned to customer needs and the value provided
- Maintain a proven track record of managing Distribution Accounts and building brand awareness
- Create demand at the end user and distributor level, with a primary focus on Hohmann & Barnard solution offerings
- Provide sales support to Regional Sales Managers and guidance to Customer Service regarding target locations and product focus
- Support end user and job site activities to build brand awareness and drive demand with builders and installation (dealer) customers
- Responsible for managing all aspects of Distribution Accounts within the territory
- Use Microsoft Suite tools and CRM systems to support the selling process
- Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Travel 50-70%
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the manager
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Construction Science, or another relevant field related to the Commercial Builder Product Industry
- 10+ years of industry related experience (sales experience and/or masonry industry experience acceptable in lieu of formal degree)
- Proven track record of sales and profit growth
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office; some knowledge of graphic programs; ability to use company software
- Familiarity/experience with value selling / Counselor Salesperson approach
- Industry-related knowledge of products and solutions for the commercial construction industry
- Strong working knowledge of project workflow from architect/engineer to contractor preferred
- Continuous improvement mindset to learn new processes, solutions, and technology
- Motivated self-starter able to work independently and in a team environment
