Federal Construction Business Development Manager
Job Description
Bell Contracting, Inc is seeking a Federal Construction Business Development Manager to identify, pursue, and secure federal, state, and municipal opportunities while expanding relationships with government agencies, tribal entities, and industry partners. This onsite role in Oklahoma City, OK requires a minimum of five years of relevant experience in federal, state, or municipal construction business development or government contracting.
Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture relationships with contracting officers, SBA offices, program managers, tribal entities, and prime contractors.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to understand Bell Contracting's core values and articulate them to prospective business opportunities.
- Build and expand networks with federal agencies, prime contractors, and teaming partners to identify project opportunities.
- Preserve and enhance existing client and partner relationships.
- Regularly monitor bid platforms, procurement portals, agency forecasts, and industry sources for potential opportunities.
- Participate in networking events, meetings, and site visits for projects.
- Provide daily support and communication with the Estimator and Project Manager.
Requirements
- At least five years of federal, state, municipal construction business development, capture management, or government contracting experience.
- Proven success in developing federal, state, municipal, and commercial contract acquisitions.
- Knowledge of bidding and contracting processes, including FAR, SAM.gov, MATOCs, MACCs, IDIQs, and related federal procurement workflows.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office to organize data and track performance.
- Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
- Existing relationships with DoD agencies, USACE, FAA, tribal entities, federal prime contractors, and federal agencies are preferred.
- Ability to travel as needed.
