General Sales Manager
Job Description
Ellsworth Corporation offers a remote General Sales Manager opportunity with a competitive wage and bonus plan, plus a comprehensive benefits package. The role includes daily travel within a defined territory and overnight travel as needed for training and business meetings.
This position reports into SCD and supports a territory across multiple states in North America, including Missouri, Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, Southern Illinois, Oklahoma, and the Dakotas.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage sales forecasts and AOPs for the region
- Build and maintain relationships with leaders and key stakeholders at top customers
- Partner with management to create and deliver Annual Operating Plan goals for each fiscal year
- Support the sales process with existing and prospective customers generated by Engineering Sales Representative teams
- Partner with the management team to establish supplier business plans and execute the plan within the region
- Lead regular sales meetings and partner with the VP of Sales and the Customer Service Manager to counsel, review progress, and identify performance improvement opportunities
Requirements
- 3+ years of industrial B2B sales experience, with specialty chemical market preferred
- 5+ years of leadership experience in industrial sales preferred (or a combination of equivalent experience)
- Bachelor’s degree required, with a technical or business-related field preferred
- Proven ability to lead, support, and develop a team of Sales Engineers
- Very good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
