Job Description
AP Healthcare LLC seeks a growth-focused Business Development & Account Representative in Columbia, SC (onsite) to build and manage partnerships with personal injury attorneys and law firms, with a base salary around USD 65,000 - 70,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Identify targets, pursue, and secure new partnerships with personal injury law firms.
- Perform on-site visits and participate in networking events, client lunches, presentations, and strategic meetings with attorneys, case managers, paralegals, and firm leadership.
- Create and implement territory growth plans to lift referral volume and expand market share.
- Inform attorneys and legal staff about the firm's services and their impact on case outcomes and client satisfaction.
- Build connections with key decision-makers and influencers within personal injury firms.
- Act as the main point of contact and relationship owner for designated attorney accounts.
- Maintain regular communication with attorneys and support teams to strengthen partnerships and identify growth opportunities.
- Meet attorney expectations through proactive problem solving and high levels of service.
- Track referral patterns and devise strategies to boost account utilization.
- Lead quarterly business reviews and strategic planning sessions with key accounts.
- Cultivate visibility within the personal injury legal community.
- Participate in legal networking events, bar association functions, CLE programs, and industry conferences.
- Foster relationships with attorneys, legal administrators, case managers, and litigation support staff.
- Position yourself as a trusted advisor and resource for clients and referral partners.
- Regularly meet and surpass monthly, quarterly, and yearly targets.
- Develop new attorney relationships and build referral-driven accounts.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline and document activity in the CRM.
- Provide regular reporting on activity, account performance, and market insights.
Requirements
- 3+ years of business development, outside sales, or account management experience; or 5+ years of legal experience in a personal injury law firm
- Experience selling products or services to personal injury attorneys
- Proven ability to build and maintain referral-based business relationships
- Strong understanding of the personal injury case lifecycle
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a sales territory
- Professional presence and ability to interact confidently with attorneys and firm leadership
