Responsibilities

  • Direct daily marine service and operations to ensure efficiency, safety, quality, and profitability across locations.
  • Guide service department performance, schedule workflows, optimize technician productivity, and maintain clear customer communication.
  • Ensure service projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to company standards.
  • Continuously monitor and refine operational processes, procedures, and overall productivity.
  • Foster effective collaboration among sales, service, parts, and administrative teams.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction across all operations and activities.
  • Implement best practices to enhance customer experience and operational performance.
  • Oversee marine service operations, engine sales, generator sales, Seakeeper sales, parts sales, repower projects, and maintenance programs.
  • Lead and mentor all sales and marketing personnel to meet growth objectives.
  • Identify new business opportunities, monitor market trends, and pursue growth initiatives.
  • Track sales performance through KPIs, reporting, forecasting, and pipeline management.
  • Participate in customer meetings, conduct technician/field vessel inspections, and engage in trade events and industry networking.
  • Uphold the company’s reputation for customer service, technical expertise, and professionalism.
  • Own overall business profitability and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial performance targets.
  • Monitor metrics such as revenue, gross profit, labor efficiency, departmental performance, cost controls, and inventory management; implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Control operational expenses while supporting growth initiatives and drive profitability improvements.
  • Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain high-performing employees; foster accountability, professionalism, teamwork, and integrity.
  • Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular evaluations; ensure departments are properly staffed and aligned with objectives.
  • Champion a customer-first culture, resolve concerns promptly, and ensure exceptional communication from inquiry to project completion.
  • Build long-term relationships that generate repeat business and referrals; maintain high standards of professionalism and responsiveness.
  • Oversee facilities, equipment, and assets to ensure proper maintenance, cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance.
  • Coordinate facility improvements, maintenance projects, and operational upgrades while ensuring safety policy and industry standard compliance.
  • Efficiently manage company resources to support productivity and sustainable growth.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5–10 years of marine industry experience with a passion for boats and yachts; openness to coaching into Sales & Operations roles.
  • Proven leadership experience overseeing people, departments, and operations.
  • Track record of success in sales, business development, and revenue growth.
  • Experience managing service operations and technical teams.
  • Strong understanding of profit and loss management and budgeting.
  • Knowledge of boats and yachts, marine propulsion systems, diesel and gasoline engines, marine generators, Seakeeper stabilization systems, and marine electrical systems.
  • Experience with parts and inventory management, boatyard operations, and vessel maintenance/repair processes.
