New Car Sales Manager
Job Description
Onsite in Bloomington, MN, this role offers a $100,000–$150,000 annual salary and requires a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years in automotive roles, focusing on leading the execution of new-car sales strategy and pricing aligned with market opportunities and dealership objectives.
Responsibilities
- Drive the implementation of the new-car sales plan aligned with market opportunities, competitive dynamics, and dealership targets.
- Define model- and segment-specific sales priorities and ensure teams know what to sell, why it matters, and how to win.
- Ensure steady execution via daily updates, weekly plans, and monthly strategy reviews.
- Tune pricing and deal structures to balance sales volume, velocity, and front-end gross.
- Expand market share through disciplined execution and awareness of competitors.
- Support consistent front-end gross by shaping pricing approaches and deal structures.
- Proactively adjust the strategy in response to market conditions, competitor actions, and performance trends, using analyst data.
- Collaborate with Marketing to align campaigns, target models, and messaging with sales priorities.
- Work with F&I leadership to sustain deal flow and profitability.
- Coordinate with the New Car Director to ensure dealership actions align with group strategy.
- Maintain consistency across digital retail, advertising, and showroom execution.
- Leverage analyst-provided inventory data to shape sales strategy and retail priorities.
- Support inventory health by guiding the sales team to focus on target models and aging units.
- Impact allocation and inventory outcomes through execution, not administrative tasks.
- Act as the main messenger of the new-car strategy to Sales Managers and Consultants.
- Set clear expectations, priorities, and performance standards.
- Collaborate with Sales Managers to reinforce execution, accountability, and coaching.
- Provide active support on the sales floor to translate strategies into results.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements
- Minimum three years in automotive environments; 3–5 years preferred in roles such as Inventory Analyst, Sales Manager, GSM, or related positions.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong preference for experience with pricing strategy, inventory operations, or OEM communications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, or a related field preferred but not required.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and effective communication skills.
