Outbound Engineering Sales Manager
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Lead generation and prospecting: identify target clients across key industries, conducting direct outreach, networking, participating in industry events, and leveraging referrals to maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities.
- Initial client conversations and qualification: serve as the first touchpoint, explore engineering challenges, assess fit with Bravo Team capabilities, and determine readiness before passing opportunities to the Client Partner Manager for scoping and proposals.
- Industry expertise and market development: leverage existing relationships to uncover emerging opportunities and broaden Bravo Team's market presence.
- Technical presentations and demonstrations: deliver tailored presentations that showcase engineering capabilities and establish credibility in the early stages of the sales process.
- Handoff and cross functional collaboration: ensure a smooth transfer of qualified opportunities to the Client Partner Manager, providing thorough discovery notes, client context, and technical requirements to enable effective scoping without disrupting the client experience.
- Pipeline management and CRM discipline: maintain accurate and timely records of prospecting activity, lead status, and early-stage opportunity data in CRM systems.
- Market feedback and Growth team alignment: share client insights, competitive intelligence, and industry trends with the Growth team to inform strategy, refine messaging, and identify new service opportunities.
Requirements
- Direct sales experience in engineering design, automation, and control systems.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and problem solving skills.
- 5+ years of experience in a sales or business development role.
- Understanding of machine design, automation, firmware, and hardware development.
- Experience and relationships in ideal industries: Aerospace, Automotive, Medical Device, Food and Beverage, Manufacturing/OEMs, Consumer Products, and Industrial Automation.
- Ability to translate technical capabilities into business value and communicate with both engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot, Active Campaign, or similar) for logging prospecting activity and lead data.
- Ability to travel up to 50% to meet with clients and attend industry events.

Your Role
- You will be the engine behind outbound sales efforts, identifying and engaging new business opportunities through direct client facing outreach.
- You will be the first point of contact for prospective clients, qualifying opportunities and building early-stage relationships before handing off to the Client Partner Manager for proposal development and deal progression.
- You will collaborate with the Client Partner Manager and Sales Operations Specialist to ensure a seamless, high quality experience from first contact through close.
- Bravo Team focus areas include Design Engineering, Manufacturing, and Custom Engineering Solutions.

Compensation
- USD 75,000 - 120,000 per year
