Regional Sales Manager & Trainer - Home Improvement Sales
Job Description
G&H Solutions is seeking a Regional Sales Manager & Trainer to strengthen onboarding, coaching, and ongoing enablement for new and tenured salespeople. This role is designed for someone who can build repeatable training, raise performance through field coaching, and support recruiting across multiple locations. You will be based in the San Francisco East Bay area, with onsite work and travel across regional sites.
Compensation includes a $150,000–$200,000 base salary plus uncapped performance bonuses tied to new salesperson recruitment, retention of new hires, and the sales results of the reps you train and develop. As the company grows, there is also significant opportunity for advancement.
What you’ll be doing
- Elevate and continuously improve the onboarding training program for all new salespeople
- Deliver ongoing training for both new hires and tenured reps to sharpen skills and reinforce best practices
- Provide field one-on-one coaching, presentation coaching, and classroom-style training sessions
- Serve as the internal expert on sales methodology, product knowledge, and in-home sales best practices
- Coordinate and lead regular sales meetings, including agenda preparation and follow-through
- Partner with HR and local General Managers to support recruiting needs across all locations
- Help identify, attract, and evaluate strong sales talent aligned with company culture and standards
- Ensure a consistent, compelling candidate experience
- Track and analyze sales performance metrics for new hires throughout onboarding and beyond
- Identify trends, flag early concerns, and deliver timely, actionable feedback to salespeople and local managers
- Build and execute performance improvement plans when needed
- Maintain alignment with the company sales playbook, policies, and procedures
What you bring
- 5+ years of field sales experience in home improvement or adjacent industries, with a focus on B2C in-home sales
- Proven experience training, coaching, and developing sales teams
- High energy and self-motivation, with the ability to drive results independently across multiple locations
- Strong skill in analyzing sales performance data and turning it into clear action plans
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with HR, operations, and local leadership
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with effectiveness both one-on-one and in front of a room
- Comfort with travel across regional locations
Location and benefits
This position is based in Oakland, CA (onsite) in the San Francisco East Bay area. Travel may be required across locations including Los Angeles, CA; San Diego, CA; and Seattle, WA.
