Job Description

Summit Technologies, Inc. is hiring a Sales Director to help drive new business growth for its parking enforcement and citation management software serving municipal and public-sector clients. This remote role within the United States offers a collaborative environment at the intersection of technology and urban infrastructure, along with a competitive base salary and a performance-based commission structure. What you will do

  • Develop and execute account strategies that drive revenue growth across municipal and public-sector clients.
  • Identify, qualify, and prioritize new opportunities while maintaining accurate pipeline and forecast reporting.
  • Lead the full sales cycle activities for long-cycle, RFP-driven deals, including discovery, solution presentations, negotiations, and contract close.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with municipal decision-makers and key stakeholders.
  • Partner with Capture Management and internal subject matter experts to shape pursuit strategies, proposals, and competitive positioning.
  • Assess deal economics by evaluating pricing, margins, implementation complexity, and long-term profitability.
  • Represent Summit Technologies at industry conferences, trade shows, and municipal government events.
  • Monitor market trends, procurement activity, and competitor movement to inform pipeline priorities and pursuit plans.
  • Keep CRM records current and deliver regular pipeline and forecast reporting.
  • Ensure a smooth transition of newly won clients to the Customer Success team.

What you bring

  • 6+ years of business to government sales experience, preferably technology or technology-enabled services.
  • Experience selling to US municipal governments with a clear understanding of public-sector procurement, budgets, and stakeholder dynamics.
  • Proven ability to win complex, multi-stakeholder deals with long sales cycles, RFPs, and formal procurement.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Experience with capture management and pursuit strategy.
  • Strong financial acumen, including evaluating deal economics and pricing scenarios.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
  • CRM proficiency (Monday.com experience is a plus).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Willingness to travel 30–40%.

Strongly desired experience

  • Experience in parking technology, urban mobility, smart city solutions, or related industries.
  • Experience with long-term service contracts, including multi-year pricing, implementation costs, and complex revenue structures.
