Senior Civil Construction Estimator / Business Development

This onsite role supports continued expansion across Georgia through accurate estimating and active business development with key partners and public agencies.

The position centers on producing competitive bid proposals for civil projects and identifying new opportunities by strengthening relationships across the local construction ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, competitive estimates for commercial, industrial, municipal, and GDOT-related civil construction work.
• Complete detailed quantity takeoffs, review plans and specifications, solicit pricing from subcontractors and suppliers, and assemble complete bid proposals.
• Spot and pursue new construction opportunities while building and maintaining relationships with general contractors, developers, engineers, municipalities, and prospective clients.
• Evaluate feasibility by assessing construction methods, scheduling requirements, potential risks, and expected profitability.
• Support project management during construction through change orders, cost evaluations, and ongoing estimating assistance.
• Track regional construction activity, upcoming projects, market conditions, and potential bidding opportunities in the area.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience estimating civil/sitework construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of earthwork, grading, underground utilities, storm drainage, paving, and related infrastructure.
• Industry relationships in the Greater Atlanta area or surrounding Georgia construction markets are highly desirable.
• Proficiency with estimating and takeoff tools such as AGTEK, HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam, or comparable platforms.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, organization, and analytical skills.
• Experience with GDOT, municipal, commercial, or large-scale industrial projects is preferred.
• A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered.

Compensation & Benefits

$110,000 to $140,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.
