Senior Manager, Business Development - Cryptography and Cross Domain Solutions (CDS)
Job Description
Collins Aerospace offers the opportunity to help shape growth in its Modular Open Systems Solutions Encryption portfolio from a remote-first role based in Tallahassee, FL. You will lead business development efforts that support secure communications, cryptography, and modular open systems strategy while working with cross-functional teams across the pursuit, order, and capture lifecycle.
Compensation: USD 132,400 - 251,600 per year.
Clearance: Secret clearance that is active and transferable is required on day 1. U.S. citizenship is required since only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
What You’ll Do
- Identify, develop, and capture new business opportunities within the Modular Open Systems Solutions Encryption portfolio
- Brief senior leaders in the U.S. Department of War (DoW) and other government entities to align on strategic goals and opportunities
- Oversee white paper and proposal development, lead capture teams, and manage the pursuit through order and capture lifecycle
- Negotiate and close opportunities while ensuring alignment with customer and market requirements
- Provide input into product development and strategic planning based on customer needs and market trends
- Build and maintain relationships with U.S. Government and non-Government customers to find and pursue potential new markets
- Evaluate competitor solutions and assess Collins’ positioning against market trends and customer requirements
- Collaborate with program management and engineering to drive business growth and innovation
- Support business development activities and customer engagement with up to 50% travel as required
What You’ll Bring
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
- Active and existing U.S. government-issued Secret Security Clearance required prior to start date (active and transferable)
- Experience supporting U.S. Government acquisitions
- Experience with U.S. military concepts of operations (CONOPs) related to secure communications, modular open systems architecture (MOSA), and cryptography
- Experience across the pursuit, order, and capture process lifecycle
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous work experience with a cryptographic product or systems prime contractor
- Experience working with the NSA and other Intelligence Community and Military Services stakeholders
- Proven track record of closing deals, building partnerships, or driving revenue in high-growth environments
- Deep understanding of cryptographic principles and cryptographic protocols
- Leadership experience and decision-making capabilities in complex business environments
Remote Work Details
This is a remote role. Employees in remote roles will work primarily offsite from home, and may be expected to travel to a Collins site location as needed. If you live within a reasonable commute of a Collins site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether onsite presence is expected.
