Territory Sales Manager
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Sell Palo Alto Networks products and solutions through channel partners while also engaging directly with customers in the assigned region.
- Apply consultative selling to uncover business challenges and craft tailored solutions for prospects and existing customers.
- Assess the competitive landscape and customer needs to position the full portfolio effectively.
- Develop a detailed territory plan, set clear goals, and produce accurate forecasts.
- Use customer stories to build a compelling value proposition with account-specific insights.
- Stay informed about industry news and trends and how they influence Palo Alto Networks offerings.
- Travel within the territory and attend company-wide meetings as required.
Requirements
- Experience with SaaS-based architectures, preferably in networking or security.
- Proven track record in selling complex solutions, value selling, or consultative sales approaches.
- Technical aptitude to understand how technology products solve business problems.
- Ability to identify problems, analyze data, determine root causes, and deliver scalable solutions.
- Ability to cultivate relationships with channel partners to enable a channel-centric go-to-market strategy.
- Deep knowledge of the full sales cycle and the discipline to follow a structured process.
- Holistic problem-solving mindset, considering interdependencies and broader outcomes.
- Strong time management and the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
Compensation
The annual compensation for this role ranges from $264,000 to $363,000, dependent on qualifications, experience, and location. The package may include restricted stock units and a bonus, and may be accompanied by additional benefits described in the company’s disclosures. For non-sales roles, the base salary applies; for sales roles, the figure reflects base plus target commission.
