Architectural Business Development Rep
Job Description
Remote West Coast role focused on expanding architectural and design community growth through targeted business development.
Responsibilities
- Implement and evaluate agreed-upon sales strategies and programs
- Present AIA/CES courses to the architectural community
- Deliver product knowledge training sessions for general contractors and installers
- Build and maintain strong spec positions for Knotwood products, prioritizing relationships with architects and specifiers
- Identify and develop partnerships with key general contractors and installers to influence material changes while positioning Knotwood as a cladding of choice
- Develop and grow a referral network of installers
- Use construction-related platforms to uncover opportunities and track existing Knotwood projects
- Document all activities in Hubspot
- Create and manage a robust pipeline aligned to future growth expectations
- Coordinate market intelligence across product, programs, shipping, and market segments
- Collaborate with Knotwood personnel to provide technical assistance, training, project-start-up support, dealer assistance, contractor support, and problem resolution as needed
- Participate in local design organizations
- Attend national, regional, and local promotional or trade show activities as required
Requirements
- Familiarity with wall assemblies
- 2+ years of building products sales experience
- Construction-related experience: 2 years (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree (Required)
