Business Development Executive

Great West, an Old Republic Company, is seeking a Business Development Executive to cultivate and sustain regional agency relationships, drive new agency business, develop existing partnerships, and maintain the company’s digital presence. This onsite role is based in Bloomington, Indiana, with travel expected up to 75 percent.

Responsibilities

• Foster and manage agency relationships, serving as a resource and trainer on Great West products, services, and procedures.
• Assist agencies with production goal setting and review quarterly progress with business partners.
• Develop and maintain connections with external associations and groups while conveying relevant information about Great West.
• Conduct market-share analyses and projections to identify new opportunities for agency partnerships.
• Coordinate the flow of communication among agents, underwriters, and other internal departments.
• Collaborate with the corporate marketing team to organize regional agent meetings, councils, and educational seminars.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field.
• Knowledge of insurance with preferred exposure to the trucking industry.
• Minimum of four years of experience in insurance marketing, agency producing, sales, underwriting, or claims roles.
• Strong communication, time management, and relationship-building skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Commitment to ongoing product knowledge development and participation in insurance education programs such as AU, CPCU, CIC, CISR, CRM, and STAR.

Location and Travel

This position is based in the Bloomington, Indiana office and requires up to 75 percent travel.
