Business Development Manager
Job Description
Heaven and Earth Landscaping is looking for a results-driven Business Development Manager to accelerate growth in the Charlotte metro area from an onsite base in Indian Trail, NC. This role is centered on expanding the landscape maintenance and enhancement business by forging new client relationships, securing maintenance contracts, and driving upsell opportunities while maintaining high standards of service for long-term client partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Identify, pursue, and secure new landscape maintenance contracts for commercial properties, HOAs, apartment communities, industrial parks, and retail centers.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase market share and revenue growth.
- Generate and qualify leads through networking, referrals, cold calling, industry events, and market research.
- Conduct property visits and site evaluations to develop customized service proposals.
- Prepare and present professional proposals, bids, and contracts.
- Negotiate pricing and service agreements while maintaining profitability targets.

- Respond promptly and professionally to customer requests, inquiries, and concerns.
- Conduct regular client visits to assess satisfaction and identify additional service opportunities.
- Maintain strong working relationships with property managers, HOAs, facility managers, and business owners.
- Assist with customer retention by ensuring a high level of service and responsiveness.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market opportunities.
- Develop strategic partnerships within the commercial property and real estate sectors.
- Participate in industry associations, trade shows, and networking events to promote company services.
- Represent Heaven and Earth Landscaping professionally within the community and industry.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer communications, proposals, and contracts.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports.
- Ensure all proposals, contracts, and customer documentation are completed accurately and submitted on time.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of business development, outside sales, or account management experience.
- Commercial landscaping industry experience strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of developing new business and closing sales.
- Strong understanding of commercial landscape maintenance and enhancement services.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Strong relationship-building and customer service skills.
- Ability to identify client needs and develop customized solutions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
