Job Description

Prima Recruitment is seeking a Mandarin-speaking Air Freight Business Development professional to drive revenue growth through hunting and closing new air freight accounts, backed by an operations team that ensures delivery and performance. This on-site role in Long Beach, CA, centers on expanding the air cargo footprint across domestic and international lanes, with a particular emphasis on cross-Pacific and Asia-Pacific markets. The ideal candidate will leverage language and market insight to build a high-value pipeline and convert opportunities into lasting partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Hunt, develop, and close new air freight accounts across domestic and international lanes
  • Bring an established book of business and convert it, fast
  • Build and manage a high-value pipeline through direct outreach, industry relationships, referrals, and strategic targeting
  • Structure and negotiate freight agreements that are profitable for the business and built to last
  • Grow accounts post-close through proactive relationship management and upsell identification
  • Work directly with ops, dispatching, and carrier sales to deliver on commitments and protect client relationships
  • Stay sharp on market conditions, competitor pricing, and lane trends to position and win
  • Maintain clean CRM records and accurate data across TMS, EDI, and AS400 platforms

Requirements

  • A proven track record in air freight or logistics B2B sales at a significant scale, you've carried a large number and exceeded it
  • An established book of business with real revenue potential you're ready to activate
  • Deep familiarity with freight forwarding, 3PL structures, NVOCC, carrier dynamics, and air cargo compliance including FDA regulations
  • Strong command of transportation management systems, CRM tools, EDI, and pricing models
  • The ability to self-source, self-manage, and drive complex deals from first call to signed contract
  • A competitor's mentality with the credibility and communication skills to win enterprise-level client trust
  • 普通话母语或流利使用者(书面及口语),英语工作能力同等重要
  • 具备空运、货运代理或国际物流领域的成熟客户资源及销售业绩
  • 熟悉国际航空货运合规要求,包括FDA法规及海关相关规定
