Job Description
General Motors invites applications for the Commercial District Sales Manager role, onsite in Maryland. You will oversee a territory that includes Washington DC and Baltimore, Central Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Northern Virginia, working as a dealer consultant to develop and execute business plans under GM's Business Elite program. A residence in Baltimore, MD, Shrewsbury, PA, or York, PA is required, with regular travel to all dealerships in the assigned area. The position offers a salary range of USD 105,600 to 140,700 per year plus a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to drive B2B growth and fleet solutions across the region.

Responsibilities
- Provide facilitation, coaching, and consulting to dealers to help meet monthly and annual sales targets as well as other dealership goals
- Ensure dealer compliance with the Business Elite program
- Lead the Commercial Truck Club within the sales district to grow membership and deliver value-added content
- Promote Business Elite Dealer participation in the Fleet solutions process through training and coaching
- Increase OnStar package sales and OVI telematics sales across all stores
- Deploy digital marketing and advertising campaigns targeting commercial customers
- Enhance commercial website presence and drive lead generation initiatives
- Analyze dealer sales, local market conditions, and competition to identify sales opportunities
- Identify B2B marketing opportunities to boost sales and service retention
- Lead sales and training activities including monthly face-to-face customer meetings
- Support dealers’ Commercial Sales Managers in executing local B2B tactics outlined in the Business Elite plan
- Assist in implementing regional and local B2B sales tactics (e.g., targeted association activities, NAHB events, ABC & AGC)
- Conduct dealership management meetings
- Maintain knowledge of commercial upfit products and GM vehicle offerings
- Stay informed about GM products, services, customer demographics, and competitive models
- Collaborate with retail teams on growth plans that include commercial vehicle sales and service
- Communicate competitive intelligence
- Administer GM policies and procedures
- Assist in dealer and customer issue resolution
- Coach dealers on customer retention, satisfaction, and dealership loyalty
- Travel regularly to all dealerships in the territory
Requirements
- At least 4 years of demonstrated success in field-based sales and customer service
- Overnight travel is required to fulfill territory management responsibilities
- Proficient with the full Microsoft Office suite and related business tools
- Strong computer skills to develop, maintain, and analyze data
- Valid driver’s license
