Director, Business Development (Post-Acute Care)
Job Description
Drive growth for TeamHealth’s Post-Acute Care services by owning business development from prospecting through implementation handoff.
Responsibilities
- Build and continuously improve a targeted regional list of SNFs, ALFs, LTACs, and health system PAC partners
- Run a disciplined pipeline with defined stages, accurate forecasting, and steady movement toward close
- Coordinate the full process including discovery, solution design, proposal development, contracting, and implementation handoff
- Own high-value in-person meetings with C-suite and PAC leadership to uncover needs and present TeamHealth’s solutions
- Direct and support inside sales resources to ensure lead generation, qualification, and outreach cadence
- Lead creation of tailored proposals in collaboration with operations, finance, and clinical leadership to maintain accuracy and alignment
- Develop regional growth strategies, including whitespace analysis and multi-year expansion plans aligned with VPBD direction
- Monitor competitive activity, regulatory changes, consolidation trends, and PAC operational challenges to guide strategy and messaging
- Build trust with facility executives by demonstrating clinical quality, operational efficiency, and the financial impact of TeamHealth’s PAC model
- Represent TeamHealth at conferences, trade shows, and PAC industry events to increase brand visibility and generate leads
- Partner across operations, clinical leadership, finance, legal, and implementation teams to support seamless delivery and long-term satisfaction
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
- 2+ years of healthcare sales experience engaging C-suite executives with a thorough understanding of the post-acute market
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions is desired but not required
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making with strategic thinking
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Strong proficiency using spreadsheets and building pro-forma materials
- Ability to handle stress and conflict
- Ability to travel frequently and as needed
