This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 112,100 - 168,100 per year, with real opportunities to shape district performance and drive growth alongside the Regional Sales Vice President. Responsibilities

  • Forecast and set annual sales quotas for districts and territories to establish clear objectives.
  • Partner with Territory Managers to forecast sales volume and profit for existing and new properties.
  • Ensure Territory Managers execute plans to meet or exceed goals.
  • Assign and adjust accounts as needed to optimize coverage.
  • Recruit, motivate, and develop Territory Managers in the district, fostering accountability, performance-based management, teamwork, and best practices.
  • Monitor progress, provide ongoing feedback, and coach on productivity, quality, and service.
  • Lead staff selection, performance reviews, and, when necessary, corrective actions and terminations.
  • Promote continuous training and development across the team.
  • Drive change management in support of organizational goals and collaborate with Human Resources as appropriate.
  • Work with Territory Managers and customers in the field, participating in sales calls and offering constructive feedback to build skills.
  • Oversee training programs for Territory Managers and participate in major client presentations to ensure superior service.
  • Partner with operating divisions to cultivate a collaborative sales environment.
  • Increase sales through account penetration by analyzing current performance and planning targeted calls and follow-ups.
  • Leverage product knowledge, ROI analysis, and tools such as Phocas, GForce, and Salesforce.com to identify prospects and opportunities.
  • Maintain and expand customer relationships and communicate with internal departments to support service delivery.
  • Provide advance notification to Operations about new customers or changes affecting orders and delivery.
  • Continuously monitor accounts and take corrective action to maintain satisfaction; escalate when needed.
  • Coordinate with accounts receivable to ensure invoices are paid within terms.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent industry experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of proven growth in profitable foodservice sales; 5+ years in foodservice sales is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and professional interaction skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly via email and phone, present information, and respond to questions from clients and colleagues.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to mentor and develop individuals and teams.
  • Experience leading team discussions and managing dynamics within a collaborative structure.
  • Delegation skills, trust, accountability, and a proactive, results-driven mindset.
  • Solid negotiation, listening, and closing skills; comfortable with pricing and forecasting concepts.
  • Responsive to customer needs and able to solicit feedback to improve service.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and make sound, timely decisions under pressure.
  • Team-oriented self-starter who can work independently and within a group.
  • Computer literacy for maintaining customer databases and using MS Office; familiarity with Phocas, GForce, Box, Salesforce.com, and PeopleSoft is a plus.

Physical demands

Work environment

  • Hybrid work arrangement, with potential for remote or office-based work depending on territory.
  • Moderate noise level typical of a sales environment.
  • Travel to support Territory Managers, customers, and prospects in the assigned region; overnight travel may be required for events, meetings, and training.
  • May involve long periods of driving or using a personal vehicle for business travel.
  • Required to maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record meeting company standards.
  • If working remotely, must have secure software access, a dedicated workspace, and participate in calls from a business-friendly environment.
  • Evening and weekend work may be necessary to meet customer needs.
