Experienced Business Development Professional - Custom Signage / Architectural Elements

DCL Design Communications seeks an Experienced Business Development Professional to lead client development, steer bids and contracts, and drive growth in custom signage, themed environments, and architectural fabrication projects. This on-site role is based in Avon, MA, with travel as needed to pursue opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Foster and maintain robust client relationships while delivering a consistently positive experience throughout project engagement.
• Identify and pursue active project opportunities and business development efforts across the industry.
• Deliver presentations and provide expert consultation to clients and project stakeholders.
• Lead bid proposal activities, including estimating, budget development, and schedule planning.
• Participate in contract negotiations and support overall project acquisition strategies.
• Collaborate closely with Estimating, Engineering, Fabrication, and Project Management teams.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to support successful project delivery from start to finish.
• Maintain awareness of active projects and industry trends nationwide and globally.
• Mentor junior team members as needed and contribute to team development.
• Travel based on client and project needs.
• Maintain technical knowledge by attending industry events, reviewing professional publications, and tracking evolving fabrication and construction processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Strong knowledge of construction, design, engineering, fabrication, and installation processes.
• Experience leading bid proposals, estimating, budget development, and schedule planning.
• Presentation skills and the ability to provide expert consultation to customers.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive client relationships throughout engagements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with capacity to participate in contract negotiations.
• Leadership ability to work with executive staff and mentor junior team members.
• Collaborative spirit and openness to direction and input from others.
• Positive attitude and strong written and verbal communication.
• Ownership mindset and willingness to travel as needed.
