Job Description

The Metro Area Sales Manager coordinates with Stellantis brands and Kansas City area dealers to drive retail development, forecast vehicle-line sales, and optimize regional production scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between Stellantis and its dealer network to support comprehensive retail development initiatives across the metro area.
  • Project and track retail sales targets by vehicle line to align with strategic objectives.
  • Ensure dealer purchase orders reflect current market demand to minimize overages and gaps.
  • Oversee monthly vehicle scheduling to maximize production capacity and efficiency across the region.
  • Assess the minimum sales responsibility (MSR) and provide guidance on opportunities to raise performance.
  • Examine dealer financial statements and advise on actionable steps to improve retail operations.
  • Align advertising and marketing efforts with corporate messaging and branding standards.
  • Maintain appropriate levels of sales satisfaction across all participating dealerships.
  • Inspire and coach independent dealer entrepreneurs to higher performance while achieving internal targets.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • A minimum of four years in sales or marketing roles.
  • Resident of or near Kansas City, MO, or willingness to relocate to the area.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast paced sales environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience working in a new car automotive dealership setting.
  • Strong multitasking capabilities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a history of leadership and achievement.
  • Self-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding goals.

Basic Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • At least four years of sales or marketing experience.
  • Lives in or near Kansas City, Missouri, or is willing to relocate to the area.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast paced sales environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications.
  • Experience within a new car automotive dealership environment.
  • Strong multitasking ability in a fast paced setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proven leadership track record.
  • Self-motivated with a demonstrated history of achieving goals.
