Job Description

CrescoNet is expanding its US GridWide One sales team and is adding a Regional Sales Director for Electric Utilities. This is a home-based role covering California, Arizona, and Texas, with regular travel. If you enjoy building pipeline, shaping complex utility deals, and owning the sales process end to end, this position gives you the space to create outcomes while partnering with a team that supports growth across the region.

What you’ll do

In this role, you will be accountable for personally developing and closing complex new utility business through the full sales cycle. You will bring structure to your territory and actively create the opportunities that drive results.

  • Build your own territory plan and manage execution across the region.
  • Create opportunities and develop pipeline from the ground up.
  • Lead each deal from the first conversation through business case development, contract execution, and first revenue.
  • Build much of your own pipeline, shape the offer, and keep the forecast accurate and honest.

What you bring

We need someone with direct utility-facing experience and a track record of winning complex, net-new accounts. Supporting activity such as responding to RFPs, inheriting existing relationships, or managing renewals is not considered sufficient on its own.

  • Recent success selling software or managed services direct to US electric utilities.
  • Proof that you personally created and closed complex, new-logo business.
  • Current senior utility relationships within the territory and the ability to secure credible first conversations.
  • Comfort discussing topics including metering fleet cost, capital, rate recovery, operating performance and risk, and the technology.
  • Hands-on mindset: willingness to build pipeline, shape the offer, and maintain forecast integrity.

Relevant experience that fits

  • AMI, HES/MDMS, communications, or utility IoT providers.
  • OMS/ADMS/DERMS, grid analytics, asset/work management, or grid cybersecurity.
  • CIS, billing, customer platforms, or other utility-specific SaaS or managed service solutions.

Compensation and schedule

  • Location: Remote (California, Arizona, Texas)
  • Travel: Regular travel
  • Base pay: USD 250,000 - 300,000 per year

Benefits

  • 401(k)
  • Dental insurance
  • Employee assistance program
  • Flexible schedule
  • Health insurance
  • Paid time off

How to apply

Send your resume and a short note describing one new utility account you personally opened and won. Include how you created the opportunity, what your role was, and what the customer ultimately purchased.
