Job Description
Join Pamal Broadcasting as a Regional Sales Manager, overseeing Albany, Glens Falls, and Rutland markets, with a Local Sales Manager for Vermont. You will drive growth in local, national, non-traditional, and interactive revenue by developing sales strategies and leading the sales team. This onsite role in Albany, NY offers a salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year.

Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue opportunities to grow local, national, non-traditional, and interactive revenue.
- Create, execute, and communicate sales strategies and action plans.
- Guide the sales team by reviewing proposals and client negotiations.
- Recruit, onboard, train, motivate, counsel, and assess the sales staff.
- Hold regular meetings with the sales team to review progress.
- Adapt to change and contribute to the organization's transformation and vision.
- Manage personnel processes including interviewing, hiring, performance evaluations, recognition, and terminations.
- Communicate management policies and procedures to staff and ensure compliance.
- Review and approve compensation plans for staff.
- Ensure staff have opportunities for livelihood through training, feedback, and effective leadership.
- Sell advertising space for the station.
- Meet or exceed goals and budgets as directed by the Vice President of Sales.
- Approve all sales promotions for the station.
- Represent the station at client events.
- Plan and track sales calls and report activities.
- Analyze and understand the station's market.
- Evaluate programming for the best sales opportunities.
- Place signed orders for clients accurately.
- Ensure advertisements air as clients requested.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of client payments.
- Initiate contact with a minimum of ten new clients each week.
- Follow up within 30 days to confirm client satisfaction with services.
- Pursue multiple avenues to expand the client base and win new accounts.
- Participate in weekly sales meetings with department leaders.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing or a related field
- Three to five years of sales experience
- One to three years in a supervisory role
- Detail oriented
- Capable of working with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Reliable transportation required
