Job Description

Regional Sales Manager for industrial ventilation systems based in Indianapolis, IN, responsible for managing and growing a multi-state dealer and distributor network across Indianapolis, Detroit, and Columbus, with a base salary up to $75,000 per year plus commissions and bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and expand a multi-state sales territory spanning Indianapolis, Detroit, and Columbus.
  • Develop new business opportunities through prospecting, cold outreach, networking, and relationship building with dealers, distributors, contractors, manufacturer representatives, and industrial end users.
  • Nurture and grow existing dealer and distributor relationships while identifying opportunities for greater market penetration and revenue growth.
  • Partner with channel partners to support sales growth, profitability, product positioning, and customer development strategies.
  • Evaluate territory coverage and identify opportunities to add, develop, or improve dealer and distributor representation within the region.
  • Conduct in-person customer visits, dealer meetings, product presentations, facility tours, and jobsite visits across the territory.
  • Utilize CRM tools to manage pipeline activity, track opportunities, document customer interactions, and forecast sales activity.
  • Coordinate with internal teams regarding quotations, lead times, customer requirements, project opportunities, and sales support needs.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends, competitor activity, and opportunities within industrial ventilation, dust collection, air handling, and industrial equipment markets.
  • Travel throughout the region approximately 50 to 75 percent, including overnight travel as needed.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience selling industrial, manufacturing, mechanical, technical, or industrial equipment products through a dealer, distributor, manufacturer representative, or channel partner network.
  • Demonstrated success growing revenue within an assigned multi-state sales territory.
  • Experience developing new business through prospecting, relationship building, account management, and territory development.
  • Experience managing dealer, distributor, manufacturer representative, or channel partner relationships.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to discuss technical or industrial product applications with customers, distributors, and dealers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout Indianapolis, Detroit, and Columbus approximately 50 to 75 percent.
