Job Description

Hahn & Clay is seeking a seasoned sales professional to accelerate revenue growth in rotating equipment and turbomachinery. This onsite role in East Houston, TX centers on developing new business, managing strategic accounts, and delivering technically grounded commercial solutions across oil & gas, power generation, petrochemical, chemical processing, and industrial manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, develop, and close opportunities for rotating equipment and turbomachinery, including pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers, and related systems.
  • Oversee the complete sales cycle from lead generation and qualification through contract negotiations and final order closure.
  • Create and implement strategic account plans to expand revenue within designated territories or named accounts.
  • Meet or exceed annual sales targets, bookings, and margin objectives.
  • Analyze customer applications and operating conditions to propose technically sound, cost-effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, applications, and service groups to prepare proposals, address technical clarifications, and finalize pricing.
  • Present product capabilities, value propositions, and lifecycle cost benefits to buyers.
  • Lead bid reviews, contract negotiations, and commercial terms discussions.
  • Serve as a senior operational liaison with clients regarding scope, performance, and quality issues.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through reliable service, on-time delivery, and proactive communication.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to align resource planning and project execution strategies.
  • Track market dynamics, competitor activity, and broader industry trends.
  • Represent Hahn & Clay at trade shows, technical conferences, and customer events.
  • Deliver regular sales forecasts, opportunity updates, and market insights to management.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of rotating equipment and turbomachinery components such as pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, seals, and bearings.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, datasheets, and performance curves.
  • Minimum five years of sales experience in rotating equipment, turbomachinery, or related industrial equipment.
  • Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding B2B sales targets with an established customer portfolio.
