Job Description

At Ecolab, the Pest Elimination Solutions team is seeking a focused Sales Development Manager to grow our commercial foothold across the U.S. This onsite role in Schaumburg, IL involves prospecting, building durable relationships with business accounts, and coordinating with service teams to deliver comprehensive pest elimination programs that protect facilities, employees, and brands.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and secure new customers to meet annual new business sales goals
  • Identify sales opportunities and implement effective sales strategies
  • Collaborate with the service team, corporate account team, and internal partners to apply best practices for solving customer pest problems
  • Build rapport and foster professional relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Lead and educate customers throughout the sales process to deliver outstanding service
  • Maintain awareness of Ecolab products and services and current industry conditions to enhance outcomes
  • Participate in a world class paid training program designed to develop top performers; a 7 week program includes paid travel to Ecolab Corporate Headquarters in Saint Paul, Minnesota for portions of the training

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience (1.5 years of business to business sales or Ecolab experience equals 1 year of post-secondary education)
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
  • Home office with reliable internet access
  • Ability to read and write in English

Position Details

  • Field-based role covering a 120 mile radius with travel to Northwest Illinois including Des Plaines, Arlington Heights, Schaumburg, Elk Grove, Barrington, Crystal Lake, Carol Stream, Elgin, Rockford, and surrounding areas
  • 0% overnight travel required

Ecolab Pest Elimination uses scientifically validated protocols to prevent and eliminate pests, conducting millions of customer visits annually. The service offers solutions to prevent and eliminate pests in commercial buildings, food processing plants, food retail, foodservice, and other markets. By partnering with customers in these sectors, you help protect facilities, employees, and brands during critical times.

Compensation

The total compensation range for this position is $84,300-$126,400, which includes base pay and target incentives based on performance per plan terms. Factors such as experience, education, training, and geography are considered, and the company complies with all applicable wage and overtime laws.
