Sales Development Representative (SDR/BDR)
Job Description
Trellis AI is building production-grade AI to help healthcare organizations make critical decisions, and the team is scaling quickly. As an onsite Sales Development Representative (SDR/BDR) in San Francisco, CA, you will qualify inbound interest, run outbound outreach to healthcare leaders, and book well-researched meetings for Account Executives. If you enjoy fast learning, ownership, and meaningful impact, this early-career role reports to the VP of Sales (Mike Barbour).
What you’ll get to build and why it matters
- Real impact at massive scale: Trellis AI serves patients in all fifty states and is scaling to hundreds of healthcare locations. Each qualified conversation you drive can help more patients start therapy sooner.
- Strong momentum: the company has grown revenue 10x in the past few months.
- Work closely with the founding team: partner directly with founders and F500 customers, alongside healthcare operations leaders with experience overseeing 50+ locations.
- Be on the leading edge of AI in healthcare: you’ll work on production-grade agentic systems, not prototypes.
- Join a world-class team: teammates have won international physics olympiads, published economics research, founded engineering teams at unicorn startups, and taught AI classes to hundreds of Stanford graduate students.
Responsibilities
- Respond to inbound interest: follow up quickly, qualify new leads, and keep opportunities moving.
- Run outbound outreach: contact healthcare operations, revenue cycle, and pharmacy leaders via email, phone, and LinkedIn.
- Book qualified meetings: own a meetings target and hand Account Executives well-researched opportunities.
- Use AI-enabled tooling: collaborate with the GTM Engineer’s tooling (including Clay, HubSpot, sequencing, and LLMs) to research accounts and personalize outreach.
- Maintain a clean CRM: log activity and keep accounts and contacts up to date in HubSpot.
- Share market learning: feed back objections, messaging input, and market insights to sales and marketing.
Requirements
- 0–2 years of experience in sales, business development, recruiting, or another target-driven role.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Resilience, organization, and a bias for action.
- Comfort learning new tools quickly; AI tools experience is a plus.
- Interest in healthcare or health tech is a plus.
- Ability to work onsite in the San Francisco office.
- Not afraid of cold calls, able to bounce back from a no, and motivated by fast learning.
- Own your number and take accountability for outcomes.
Compensation: USD 94,000–114,000 per year.
