The Opportunity
Lucky Portables is building the best site services company in South Florida, serving construction, events, and industrial customers with portable restrooms, roll-off dumpsters, and temporary fencing. We are in an early growth phase and seeking the person who will design and run our sales engine.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting: Build a robust rep pipeline that includes construction industry veterans, motivated junior closers, and route-density hunters. Dedicate real time each week to recruiting, not just when a seat opens.
- Sales playbook: Define the ideal customer profile (GCs, event producers, property managers, municipalities, industrial), the prospecting cadence, discovery questions, pricing guardrails, and the handoff to operations. Document it and make it teachable.
- Personally close: For the first 6–12 months, serve as the top sales rep. Demonstrate performance at trade association meetings and set the standard by reaching the number yourself.
- Train and coach: Onboard new reps, host weekly pipeline reviews, ride along on calls, role-play objections, and debrief wins and losses to continuously improve the team.
- Account strategy: Land and expand with multi-site GCs and large event accounts. Create a playbook for converting one-job customers into preferred-vendor relationships.
- Territory and route density: Collaborate with operations to align sales with route density and margins. Set priorities that support the operations math.
- Build the bench: Develop AEs into team leads who can run their own markets as the company grows.
Requirements
- 3–7 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in one of these areas: portable sanitation, waste/dumpsters, equipment rental, construction supply, uniform/linen services, pest control commercial division, or another route-based service selling to construction, events, or facilities.
- Proven track record of personally closing deals, meeting quotas, and landing accounts. Numbers and references available upon request.
- 1+ years of leadership as a team lead, sales manager, or branch manager, with responsibility for recruiting, training, and coaching reps.
- Construction, events, or facilities network is a major plus; familiarity with the top players in your market is advantageous.
- Builder's instinct: you prefer designing systems over inheriting them and thrive in ambiguity.
- Field-first mentality: you operate on jobsites, in trucks, and at trade events more than at a desk.
- High accountability and high output: you set the tone by delivering results.
- CRM discipline: you actively manage the pipeline and keep data accurate.
