Sales Manager – Maritime Defense/Government and Commercial Business
Job Description
Sales Manager role focused on expanding SEA.AI's presence in the Americas across defense/government and commercial maritime markets.
Responsibilities
- Develop trusted relationships with a portfolio of major clients in the sector, including the Navy, Coast Guard, shipyards, system integrators and USV manufacturers
- Drive direct and indirect sales in the region in line with company strategy and regional targets
- Collaborate across other maritime segments as needed
- Gain a deep understanding of regional maritime needs and procurement processes
- Expand and support dealer and distributor networks, as well as key shipyard and integrator partners across the USA
- Act as the liaison between regional clients and internal teams
- Play a strategic role in securing tenders and public-sector contracts and converting new sales into long-term partnerships
- Deliver regional sales reporting and forecasting using key account and performance metrics tailored to the territory
- Represent SEA.AI at US and international industry conferences
Requirements
- Minimum five years of defense/government experience as a Sales Manager in the maritime industry, ideally selling to or through the US Navy, US Coast Guard, prime contractors, system integrators and/or USV manufacturers
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or a relevant field
- Familiarity with US public-sector procurement (e.g., FAR/DFARS, SBIR/OTA, public tenders) is a strong advantage
- Experience in value-based selling
- Strong track record in solution-based sales and managing complex accounts
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport across cultures and with stakeholders at all organizational levels
- Fluency in English; other languages beneficial
- Excellent negotiation and leadership skills – knowledge of the Challenger Sales methodology or similar would be an asset
- Proactive, results-driven professional focused on acquiring new business, initiating relationships, and closing deals
- Willingness to travel within the USA and occasionally internationally
- Ability to work in a team setting while also being highly motivated and able to work on an individual/remote basis
- Strong existing network within the US maritime defense and/or commercial community
- Comfortable working independently and in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment
- Authorized to work in the USA and qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR (22 CFR 120.62); eligibility to obtain a U.S. security clearance is an advantage

Compensation
Salary: USD 90,000 - 135,000 per year
