Senior Business Development Manager
Job Description
Lead business development for hospitality FF&E leasing by sourcing and converting hotel projects with real renovation and PIP timelines.
Responsibilities
- Develop and grow direct relationships with hotel owners, hotel ownership groups, developers, asset managers, and family offices
- Proactively identify hotel opportunities involving PIPs, renovations, conversions, repositioning, or FF&E replacements
- Build, maintain, and continuously update a target list of ownership groups and priority projects
- Establish direct access to decision-makers (principals, presidents, CFOs, asset managers) and set up owner meetings
- Qualify opportunities quickly by confirming: hotel brand, room count, PIP timing, renovation schedule, FF&E budget, procurement timing, and decision-maker alignment
- Articulate the value of FF&E leasing across cash flow, financing capacity, capital allocation, and potential tax planning
- Own the full deal process: move initiatives from lead to qualified opportunity, then proposal, negotiation, contract, and closing
- Collaborate with Head of Hospitality FF&E Leasing and Strategic Partnerships on large or strategic projects
- Drive repeat business by expanding within owners managing multiple properties and building long-term accounts
- Attend hospitality conferences, owner events, and trade shows designated by the company, then promptly follow up on high-quality leads
- Maintain accurate CRM documentation, pipeline updates, forecasts, and next steps; report specific project progress rather than vague interest
Requirements
- 5 to 10 years or more relevant experience preferred in hospitality business development, hotel owner relations, hotel finance, hotel management, hospitality brokerage, FF&E or procurement, hotel renovations or PIPs, or a related field
- Established, verifiable relationships with hotel owners or hotel ownership groups
- Direct access to decision-makers such as principals, presidents, CFOs, and asset managers, beyond junior-level contacts
- Experience originating and closing B2B projects, including the ability to manage million-dollar transactions independently
- Strong execution and disciplined follow-up with a results-focused approach; willingness to sustain effort building relationships and converting them into revenue
- Willingness to travel throughout the United States
- Furniture industry experience is not required; greater emphasis on hotel-owner access, industry relationships, and demonstrated closing ability
