Senior Business Development Officer - Insurance Strategist
Job Description
Senior Business Development Officer - Insurance Strategist supports PNC Bank’s Private Bank Insurance organization as the insurance expert within Wealth Management for the Northeast Region.
Responsibilities
- Drive new client acquisition across new and existing markets.
- Identify an external pipeline of prospective AMG clients and/or referral sources by educating and positioning AMG capabilities.
- Develop and pursue the most complex and sophisticated new client opportunities.
- Operate independently with minimal supervision.
- Call on new prospects and key centers of influence to present the full spectrum of AMG products and services.
- Cultivate referrals and leads, generate interest, and collaborate with partners to onboard new clients.
- Partner with management and/or internal teams to define and execute activities, tactics, and strategies that identify and pursue opportunities and support client onboarding.
- Provide leadership with insight on industry trends, best practices, and product needs.
- Identify the appropriate customer base and build a marketing strategy and plan.
- Manage the sales process, determine the service team, and facilitate transition from prospect to client.
- Complete timely, accurate, and complete sales administration tasks as required by the business.
- Serve as the internal risk management expert and maintain a constant focus on customer needs and fiduciary compliance.
- Collaborate with Wealth Management teams and advisors to identify and implement insurance solutions for clients and prospects.
- Build relationships with internal and external centers of influence focused on educating stakeholders on insurance solutions within clients’ overall financial picture.
- Act as an interface with WM insurance partners and coordinate with regional management to identify, track, and manage insurance goals.
- Manage insurance opportunity communication, tracking, and follow-up using latest technologies.
Requirements
- Life and Health Insurance License.
- Extensive experience in customer focus, managing risk, sales negotiating, products and services, problem solving, effective communications, decision making, and selling.
- Expertise managing multiple priorities.
- Client relationship management experience (working experience).
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or advanced degree preferred.
- Advanced insurance industry certifications (preferred).
- Individual Insurance Producer.
- Experience working in multiple systems (Mutual, Brokerage, Banking).
- Experience in a team-based situation.
- Background with referral partners not being directly compensated.
Location and Work Model
- Cherry Hill, NJ (onsite).
- Based in the Northeast area of the United States.
- Operating in a team-based model.
- Responsible for the Northeast Region within the PNC footprint.
Travel Expectations
- 50% to 75% travel within a day driving range.
Compensation
- Base salary: USD 146,300 to 271,700 per year.
- Incentive eligible; payments based on company, business, and/or individual performance.
