Job Description

The Insurance Solutions Business Development team at Macquarie Group Limited is focused on expanding insurance general account activity across North America. In this Vice President role based in New York, you will build new client relationships, deepen partnerships, and run consultative sales work that supports tailored investment outcomes aligned to insurer priorities.

Working in a hybrid environment, you will collaborate with investment, product, marketing, and relationship management partners to pursue strategic growth opportunities. You will also represent the organization at industry events while contributing input to product strategy for insurance clients.

What you’ll do

  • Lead growth initiatives for the insurance general account business across North America by creating new client relationships and expanding existing partnerships.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with investment, product, marketing, and relationship management teams to identify and execute strategic growth opportunities.
  • Drive complex, consultative sales processes and help develop tailored investment solutions aligned to insurer needs.
  • Represent the organization at industry events and support refinement of product strategies for insurance clients.

What you’ll bring

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience with increasing responsibility and demonstrated success raising assets within the insurance general account channel.
  • Familiarity with the North American insurance asset management market, including a working understanding of insurer investment needs across life, health, and P&C, and the accounting, regulatory, and capital considerations that influence general account allocators.
  • Ability to identify and close complex business development opportunities and partner with multiple Macquarie stakeholders through a consultative sales approach.
  • Ability to partner with investment professionals across private credit, real assets, real estate, and private equity strategies.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage marketing and sponsorship opportunities to maximize impact for the insurance solutions business.
  • Ability to leverage technology to design, improve, and execute an efficient and effective front-to-back business development strategy.

Compensation and location

  • Location: New York, NY (hybrid)
  • Salary: USD 220,000 - 250,000 per year
