Job Description

Asset Based Lending Senior Business Development Officer in Chicago, onsite, focused on sourcing new financing opportunities, guiding deal teams through analysis and execution of ABL transactions, and building external referral networks.

Responsibilities

  • Originates asset based lending facilities for companies with annual revenue of $50 million or more.
  • Develops and expands profitable client relationships through proactive outreach, prospecting, and strengthening existing accounts.
  • Interprets financial statements and cash flow analyses to evaluate company performance and industry dynamics.
  • Collaborates with internal bank partners to tailor asset based lending solutions for clients and prospects.
  • Leads strategic discussions with complex clients on industry trends, alternative capital structures, and business issues.
  • Mentors peers and demonstrates leadership during deal cycles.
  • Adapts to evolving sales practices and shifting market conditions as needed.

Requirements

  • Direct calling experience with CEOs, CFOs, and managing directors.
  • Five or more years of asset-based lending experience.
  • Strong oral, written, and analytical/credit skills.
  • Willingness to travel for in-person meetings.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses; if not currently licensed, must obtain within 180 days of start date.

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
