Job Description

This Strategy and Business Development role centers on Army Black Hawk rapid capability upgrades for the UH-60M and UH-60L variants, coordinating with the U.S. Army and LM Sikorsky to identify capability gaps and lead go-to-market and modernization efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and grow relationships with the U.S. Army, government laboratories, acquisition customers, and warfighters to map near, mid, and long term capability gaps and inform capability roadmaps.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of customer desires and serve as the external advocate for LM Sikorsky.
  • Identify, qualify, pursue, and capture opportunities that advance next generation Lockheed Martin technology and enhance Army warfighting capability by integrating emerging capabilities and modernizing the Black Hawk fleet.
  • Coordinate cross-organizational teams to progress LM's approach to capability development, demonstrations, and transitions; support efforts to define and demonstrate solutions for Black Hawk mission expansion and Joint All-Domain Operations in company and customer exercises.
  • Lead operational analysis to identify and validate advanced system solutions that address customer needs and fill capability gaps.
  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies for next generation technologies and collaborate with Sikorsky's Advanced Concepts team to transition technologies to programs of record.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to shape UH-60M fleet upgrades through commercial modifications, ensuring mission-ready aircraft and maximizing the utility of the UH-60L fleet beyond initial Army service.
  • Partner with multifunctional teams to position LM for mid- and long-term capture opportunities by driving future concepts, requirements, product strategies, investments, and partnering opportunities.
  • Manage New Business Fund accounts, including Market Assist, Bid and Proposal, and Internal Research and Development.
  • Develop, review, and execute capture and customer engagement plans in support of current and next generation opportunities.
  • Formulate strategies and proposals with Capture Managers, Program Managers, and Technical Subject Matter Experts, and brief Sikorsky Executives and Rotary and Mission System Leadership.
  • Assist in developing product and technology roadmaps.
  • Provide timely, high quality staff work such as presentations, white papers, activity reports, meeting notes, call plans, and trade show support.
  • Conduct all business in strict compliance with corporate command media and applicable regulations.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of rotary wing platforms, operations, architectures, functionalities, and capabilities.
  • Experience analyzing Army requirements and future operational needs to identify technology solutions.
  • Ability to develop and execute a strategy and translate it into successful outcomes.
  • Capability to multi-task, organize, and lead multiple initiatives with minimal supervision.
  • Prior experience interfacing with and briefing senior industry and customer executives.
  • High adaptability and the ability to travel as needed.
  • Must be able to obtain government security clearance; US Citizen.

The Work
