Job Description

Designer Greetings offers an on-site, full-time opportunity in Seattle, WA for a Business Development Manager overseeing sales across Washington. The role emphasizes cultivating new business and managing retailer relationships, with travel across the Pacific Northwest. The position carries a salary range of $45,000 to $60,000 per year and includes a monthly travel allowance of $600 to support regional travel.

Responsibilities

  • Secure orders from existing and prospective customers through in-person visits and phone communication.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to quote on customer requirements.
  • Follow up on submitted quotations via phone and/or in-person visits.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with key customer contacts, including purchasing, quality assurance, management, and other decision-makers.
  • Perform all assigned duties within the designated sales territory (WA, with potential support in Northern OR).
  • Provide weekly call reports and activity updates to the VP of Sales.
  • Perform other directly related duties as assigned by the VP of Sales.
  • Keep management informed of competitive activity, market conditions, and progress toward established sales goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of field sales experience, preferably in novelty, gift, or a comparable retail industry.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and strong time-management skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively by car throughout the Washington region.
  • Proven record of independence and success in a sales environment.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
