Job Description
Timberland Door is seeking an on-site Director of Business Development in Saint Petersburg, FL to identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities, expand the dealer network, and grow market share in Florida and targeted national markets.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute a growth plan for the assigned territory.
- Prospect and onboard new dealer partners.
- Launch new builder, contractor, and commercial accounts.
- Increase market penetration across the territory.
- Cultivate relationships with architects and designers.
- Generate specification opportunities for Timberland products.
- Identify high-potential growth opportunities.
- Develop long-term account plans.
- Grow revenue within existing accounts.
- Establish executive-level relationships with customers.
- Explore new geographic opportunities.
- Develop and manage channel partnerships.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
- Communicate market feedback to leadership.
- Identify product opportunities.
- Monitor competitive activity.
- Support leadership with market positioning initiatives.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of business development experience.
- Background selling doors, millwork, windows, building products, architectural products, construction products, or related industries.
- Proven track record of opening new accounts.
- Demonstrated success growing territory revenue.
- Strong network within the building products industry.
- Ability to travel throughout the assigned markets.
