District Sales Manager
Job Description
The District Sales Manager role at SunSource leads an eight-person Account Manager team across the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes region, driving profitable growth in Fluid Process markets that include fluid handling, filtration, and process systems. This onsite position is based in Detroit, MI, with approximately 50 percent travel to customer sites and facilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of eight Account Managers.
- Drive growth in revenue, market share, and profitability.
- Develop and implement district and territory sales plans.
- Support prospecting, customer engagement, quoting, and closing activities.
- Track team performance and implement improvement plans as needed.
- Foster strong supplier and customer relationships.
- Collaborate with internal teams on inventory management and strategic initiatives.
- Review forecasts, sales reports, and performance metrics.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of three years of experience in sales management or a related role.
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated strategic thinking.
- Proficiency in MS Office and the ability to learn and use a CRM system.
- Valid driver's license.
- Overnight travel required.
