District Sales Manager
Job Description
Hohmann & Barnard, Inc. is seeking a District Sales Manager to own territory execution and drive growth through demand creation and direct sales via distribution. This onsite, travel-heavy role supports Northern New York and New England by managing distribution accounts, building brand awareness, and expanding demand for Hohmann & Barnard solution offerings from end users through job sites.
Based in Concord, NH (onsite), the District Sales Manager is accountable for consultative value selling across a defined region, prospecting and growing both new and existing customers while working to exceed annual budget targets.
Territory & Sales Ownership
- Manage, consult, and value sell company solutions to a customer base in a defined region.
- Take responsibility for all aspects of Distribution Accounts within the territory while building brand awareness and creating demand at the end user and distributor level, with a primary focus on Hohmann & Barnard solution offerings.
- Prospect and profitably grow business with new and existing customers, with an emphasis on exceeding annual budget.
- Lead end user and job site activities to build brand awareness and drive demand with builders and installation (dealer) customers.
- Provide sales support to Regional Sales Managers and direction to Customer Service regarding target locations and product focus.
Business Planning, Proposals, and Execution
- Use organized sales strategies to grow business, with a strong ability to create and execute business plans.
- Develop and maintain effective communication to facilitate internal discussions that deliver value-added customer solutions.
- Negotiate and deliver customer proposals that align with customer needs and the value provided.
- Utilize Microsoft Suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and CRM systems as part of the selling process.
- Learn and apply custom company software that supports the selling process.
Industry Knowledge & Continuous Improvement
- Bring industry-related knowledge of products and solutions as they relate to the commercial construction industry.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of project workflow from architect/engineer to contractor (preferred).
- Maintain a continuous improvement mindset to learn new processes, solutions, and technology.
- Operate as a motivated self-starter able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Travel 50-70%.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Construction Science, or another relevant field related to the Commercial Builder Product Industry.
- 10+ years of industry related experience (sales experience and/or masonry industry experience) in related industries in lieu of a formal degree.
- Proven track record of sales and profit growth.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with MS Office; some knowledge of graphic programs; ability to use company software.
- Familiarity/experience with value selling and Counselor Salesperson methods.

- Job Type: Full-time
- Pay: $88,000.00 - $132,000.00 per year
