Job Description
Medtronic is seeking a District Sales Manager in Illinois (onsite) to lead the Cardiac Ablation Solutions sales team, directing strategy, revenue and implant goals, and cross-functional collaboration to drive market development, product launches, and customer expansion.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute the Cardiac Ablation Solutions sales strategy; provide strategic leadership for the sales force and ensure alignment with Cardiology sales management.
- Lead the team to achieve market development and penetration in key patient populations.
- Utilize field visits, individual or group meetings, and calls to train, coach, and develop employees in sales skills, product knowledge, teamwork, time and territory management, competitive intelligence, and career development.
- Communicate corporate and regional missions, goals, and activities to the sales team.
- Direct and motivate personnel to meet unit, revenue, and implant targets.
- Provide ongoing feedback and coaching; conduct regular performance reviews and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Assist employees with Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve short- and long-term business objectives.
- Oversee sales area assets including adoption of Salesforce.com, budgets and forecasts, and efficient inventory and expense management.
- Negotiate and resolve price and contract issues with reps, accounts, regional management, and home office personnel.
- Develop ethical, long-term customer relationships and represent Medtronic management to customers.
- Recruit and interview candidates to maintain a strong bench, hire top performers for open positions, and meet diversity goals.
- Coordinate efforts with sales reps and managers of other product lines to diversify and maximize teamwork results; provide marketing intelligence feedback to sales and marketing management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 5+ years of experience in medical sales or marketing.
