Inside Selling District Sales Manager
Job Description
State Industrial Products is seeking an Inside Selling District Sales Manager to lead a telesales team and own a territory from Mayfield Heights, OH in a hybrid work setup. This role centers on driving revenue, improving margins, and delivering high customer satisfaction by coaching a dedicated inside sales group and managing a personal book of business. Compensation ranges from USD 65,000 to 75,000 per year, with base pay plus a monthly bonus.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Inside Sales Representatives to hit revenue, margin, and productivity targets
- Develop and expand a personal book of business
- Provide consistent coaching, performance feedback, and professional development to maximize results
- Train team members on consultative selling to identify needs and propose tailored solutions
- Inspire the team through effective leadership, recognition, and performance management
- Monitor key metrics such as sales quota attainment, call activity, response times, call quality, and system usage
- Drive product penetration and raise average order value by targeting buildable accounts with strategic selling
- Collaborate with Marketing to execute aligned email and social media campaigns that generate demand and leads
- Maintain and grow a personal book of business; conduct outbound activities as needed
- Partner with Field Sales Management and internal teams to resolve customer issues and ensure account alignment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience
- 2–5 years in sales, customer service, or training; B2B outbound telesales experience preferred
- Proven leadership ability to manage, coach, and develop high-performing teams
- Strong business acumen with data analysis, trend identification, and strategic decision-making
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication with a professional, customer-focused demeanor
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making in fast-paced environments
- Ability to handle escalated customer concerns with empathy and professionalism

Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- 2–5 years of experience in sales, customer service, or training; B2B outbound telesales experience preferred
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage, coach, and develop high-performing teams
- Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make strategic decisions
- Demonstrated proficiency in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and customer-focused demeanor
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills in fast-paced environments
- Ability to handle escalated customer concerns with empathy and professionalism
