Manager, Sales Development
Job Description
This onsite role in Austin, TX offers a collaborative, growth-focused environment with a strong emphasis on helping teams succeed. As Manager, Sales Development, you will lead a responsive SDR group, partner with marketing and sales to drive inbound and outbound programs, design training, and steer KPI-driven pipeline generation for Account Executives. Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a dynamic, high-performing SDR team, fostering talent through proactive, hands-on leadership
- Coordinate with marketing, sales leadership, and other internal teams to support SDR inbound and outbound programs and refine messaging
- Design and deliver training and enablement sessions for the SDR group
- Coach and mentor the SDR team to deepen knowledge of the solution portfolio, achieve KPIs, manage pipelines effectively, and collaborate with their account executives
- Stay current on industry trends, product knowledge, and the sales tools in use, identifying opportunities to improve processes
- Other duties as needed
Requirements
- Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience
- More than two years in software sales as a closer is preferred
- Experience coaching SDRs in large-enterprise prospecting and opportunity generation
- Proven history of meeting quotas as an individual contributor
- Experience managing and improving SDR KPIs and regularly reporting team and individual results
- Ability to identify and recommend improvements in process, efficiency, and productivity
- Sales training and Salesforce.com experience a plus
- Familiarity with Outreach, Sales Engagement platforms and customer relation tools, plus LinkedIn Navigator
- Ability to quickly adopt sales technologies
- Comfort in an analytical, research-focused environment
- Proven ability to coach, manage, and motivate a team of SDRs
- Ownership mindset, proactive problem solving, curiosity, and strong cross-team collaboration
- Growth mindset with ongoing learning through stakeholder relationships and structured development programs
