Job Description
Marketing analyst position within Applied Materials' Global Services M&A/NBD team, focused on collecting and analyzing market data to identify growth opportunities, shape growth strategies and investment proposals, and communicate findings across cross-functional teams in the semiconductor industry.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue inorganic growth opportunities for the AGS segment.
- Develop targets for acquisitions, investments, IP licensing, and partnerships aligned with each business unit's strategy.
- Conduct primary and secondary market research and data analysis, including market segmentation, competitive landscape, financial analysis, and technology trends.
- Craft business cases with strategic rationale for selected targets, using clear messaging and data visualization.
- Build financial models to quantify revenue and profitability impact on the existing business.
- Define business and execution risks and develop options to mitigate them.
- Present analyses and investment proposals to business leadership and segment executives.
- Establish relationships with external organizations, including universities and research institutes, to identify new opportunities.
- Manage multiple projects across cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field; an MBA is highly preferred.
- 4-7 years of prior work experience.
- Experience in marketing (product development, business development, corporate strategy), business management, management consulting, and/or M&A advisory.
- Working knowledge of inorganic growth activities such as M&A, investment, IP acquisition, licensing, and partnerships is a plus.
- Semiconductor industry experience is a plus; knowledge of industry structure and players is highly desirable.
- History of delivering results through collaboration and teamwork; cross-functional and global exposure.
- Experience in advanced business data analysis and presentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
