New Business Development Manager
Job Description
Smith Personnel Solutions is seeking a New Business Development Manager to advance growth in the Charlotte area. In a hybrid capacity, you will focus on forging new client relationships, selling staffing solutions, and expanding the company’s presence within Charlotte's market. The role carries a salary range of USD 70,000 to 90,000 per year and requires at least four years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, referrals, networking, and active local market involvement.
- Develop and execute a territory plan to grow Smith Personnel's client base in Charlotte.
- Build relationships with prospective and existing clients by understanding their workforce needs and presenting practical staffing solutions.
- Lead sales meetings, discovery conversations, presentations, job order discussions, and proposal reviews.
- Sell temporary staffing, temp-to-hire, and related workforce solutions to employers with hiring needs.
- Discuss job requirements, pay rates, bill rates, markups, service expectations, and placement timelines with prospective clients.
- Negotiate service agreements, pricing, and terms aligned with company goals and profitability.
- Partner with recruiting and operations teams to ensure opportunities are properly qualified, communicated, and supported.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity, client communication, pipeline progress, and follow-up tasks within company systems.
- Represent Smith Personnel professionally in the Charlotte business community.
Requirements
- Staffing industry sales experience is required.
- English is required; English and Spanish are preferred.
