Job Description

Helukabel USA Inc. is expanding its regional sales efforts and seeks a Regional Sales Manager to drive growth for HELUKABEL products across the Maryland, Virginia, and Delaware region. This remote role, based in Virginia, combines sales leadership with training, forecasting, and strategic account development, with travel up to half of the time to support customers and initiatives.

USD 75,000 - 85,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute regional sales plans to grow HELUKABEL products within the territory.
  • Meet or exceed regional sales quotas aligned to business segments and corporate strategy.
  • Conduct direct channel sales calls with OEMs, MROs, integrators, contractors, distributors, and project teams to achieve defined quotas.
  • Lead hands-on training sessions at OEMs, authorized distributors, system integrators, contractors, and customer sites.
  • Collaborate with RSD, Inside Sales and Marketing, GAM, and Strategic Accounts to implement account strategies and meet sales objectives.
  • Develop proficiency in industrial wire and cable solutions across automation, material handling, food and beverage, robotics, automotive, and pulp/paper markets.
  • Utilize SAP CRM for activities, sales call notes, leads, and opportunities.
  • Provide forecasts and budget updates to the Regional Sales Director.
  • Follow up on leads, quotations, and orders within the assigned territory.
  • Prepare timely expense reports, mileage submissions, and track sales activity and opportunities.
  • Monitor competition and market trends related to the territory and industries served.
  • Travel overnight up to 0-50% as required to support the territory and corporate headquarters.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of direct outside industrial sales experience in a territory role; technical applications for industrial cable are a plus.
  • Strong understanding of the territory’s customer base and targets, with the ability to navigate industrial automation manufacturing, machine building, and distribution channels.
  • Industrial wire and cable knowledge is highly beneficial, including experience with electrical cable distributors or wire and cable manufacturers.
  • Experience in industrial plant or factory automation including VFDs, servos, PLCs, data communication, cable assemblies and harnesses, and drag chain/dress pack applications for robotics.
  • Direct exposure to the electrical side of industrial plant automation or collaboration with channel partners (distributors, integrators, contractors, etc.).
  • Existing network of OEM, MRO, distributor, integrator, and contractor contacts in industrial automation, material handling, F&B, automotive, robotics, or electrical distribution; or the ability to build one.
  • Proficiency with SAP CRM and basic Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for presentations, strategy, and reporting.
  • Experience preparing monthly management reports and annual forecasts for budgeting.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to plan a four-week calendar and execute sales strategies efficiently.
