Job Description

Pinnacle Live delivers premium in-house AV and event production for top hotels and resorts across North America. In Miami, this role leads the hotel’s in-venue sales program, acting as the Pinnacle Live sales leader for the property, building strong hotel relationships, driving revenue growth, and coordinating closely with both hotel teams and Pinnacle Live to deliver exceptional events.

Job Summary

The Sales Director in this capacity is a key driver of the in-venue sales organization, responsible for guiding the hotel-focused sales efforts, cultivating strategic relationships, and surpassing sales targets. The role emphasizes collaboration across Pinnacle Live and hotel sales teams and has a strong influence on both short-term results and long-term growth.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent application of the Catalyst Sales Process for hotel leads under the direction of the National Director of Sales.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of Pinnacle Live’s products and services while actively pursuing understanding of emerging technologies.
  • Work closely with the Venue Director on daily duties, service and client issues, hotel relationships, and any management of Sales Managers if applicable.
  • Coordinate with the National Director of Venue Sales on sales funnel management, strategies, and CRM governance.
  • Represent Pinnacle Live and the hotel during site visits, planning meetings, and pre-convention and debrief sessions when relevant.
  • Recruit, lead, and develop the Sales Manager team to ensure gold-standard customer experiences throughout the sales cycle, event execution, and post-event follow-up.
  • Generate and revise scopes of work, quotes, proposals, and contracts to address large-scale hotel leads requiring AV solutions.
  • Maintain open lines of communication to address the needs of Sales Managers and the Hotel Sales Team.
  • Coordinate with Operations to ensure successful client events.
  • Develop and provide accurate revenue forecasts for the sales team and leadership.
  • Use creative, collaborative approaches to identify profitability, revenue opportunities, and client retention.
  • Drive profitable business aligned with budgets, forecasts, and P&L considerations, with a working understanding of P&L dynamics.
  • Oversee timely and accurate billing of events and clients through the sales team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum five years of experience in an audio-visual systems sales leadership role.
  • Minimum five years of experience in a customer service facing role.
  • Minimum three years of experience in a sales management role.
  • Strong business communication, presentation, and writing skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and the ability to extract high-quality insights into sales activity and progress.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, internally and externally.
  • Production and staging experience within a hotel, venue, convention center, or traveling organization.
  • Scenic and décor experience is required.
  • Rigging, electrical, and exhibit experience is required.
  • Proven, capable manager with strong leadership abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong project management capabilities and a track record of success in fast-paced settings.
  • Adaptable and resilient, able to navigate changing priorities.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to clear obstacles for clients through organizational skills.
  • Customer-service oriented and willing to go above and beyond for Pinnacle Live clients.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
