Technical Sales Manager
Job Description
Heraeus, a leader in precious metals, seeks a Technical Sales Manager for Emission Catalysts to work remotely and drive growth in environmental catalyst solutions. This role blends direct sales with account management and technical support to broaden our portfolio for mobile and stationary emission abatement systems. The position offers a salary range of USD 120,000 to 150,000 per year and requires a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with at least five years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead sales activities for Emission Catalysts and manage key accounts
- Develop new customers and explore additional markets
- Implement innovative value-added bundled solutions for customers
- Report monthly sales performance to management
- Own the sales process and help customers solve technical issues
- Layout design of our products for specific customer projects
- Build strong technical relationships with key clients
- Drive expansion of the environmental precious metal emission catalyst portfolio for both mobile and stationary systems
- Prepare annual regional sales budgets and submit sales forecasts
- Ensure achievement of regional sales targets
- Foster excellent relations with major customers and pursue new emission customers per strategic plans
- Collaborate with leadership to set pricing strategy for new business
- Negotiate contracts with new customers
- Provide market evaluations, industry and technology trend insights for strategic planning
- Support customers in using our products within their production design
- Assist customers in ramping up production of new products (P1, P3, PPAP, serial production)
- Resolve issues in customer applications related to emission standards and regulations
- Monitor market, industry, and technology trends and communicate with R&D
- Provide technical and sales information to customers and clarify new product requirements
Requirements
- 5+ years of work experience in the environmental emission catalyst industry
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering; specialization in catalysis; advanced degree (PhD) is a plus
- Knowledge of current emission legislation
- Strong ability to understand customer needs and create value for global clients
- Self-starter with strategic thinking and agile project management skills
- Willingness to travel 25-50%
